Stan Mastil and Jeremy VanEtten join as principals to enhance solutions for distressed businesses

SC&H, a national consulting and financial services firm, announced the addition of two prominent principals, Stan Mastil and Jeremy VanEtten, to its Corporate Restructuring practice. Both join with extensive experience in bankruptcy advisory services, financial forensics, and crisis management, further strengthening SC&H’s ability to serve clients in complex distress situations.

Based in Wilmington, Del., and Philadelphia, Pa., respectively, Mastil and VanEtten previously worked for a financial advisory firm based in Delaware. They bring decades of hands-on work with distressed companies, creditors, lenders, and fiduciaries across technology, retail, gaming, and manufacturing industries.

With Mastil and VanEtten on board, SC&H continues to expand its geographic footprint in the restructuring space. Their proven leadership in high-stakes engagements supports the firm’s efforts to deliver innovative solutions in distressed situations, with value maximization during challenging times as the primary goal.

“Stan and Jeremy bring a level of expertise and insight that immediately strengthens our ability to tackle the toughest situations our clients face,” said Rob Patrick, Managing Director of SC&H’s Corporate Restructuring practice. “Their addition reflects our focus on building a team that understands the restructuring business and delivers practical, value-driven solutions—no matter how complex the challenge.”

Mastil has built a reputation for nearly 30 years as a top U.S. crisis manager, including more than 12 years at a previous financial advisory firm. He has served as a Chief Restructuring Officer and advised Debtors, Trustees, and unsecured creditors’ committees in all aspects of bankruptcy. He has received Turnaround Management Association (TMA) awards for his work on small and large company turnarounds. Mastil graduated with a BS in Finance with a concentration in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University. Mastil is very involved with TMA on both a global and local level. He chairs the TMA Global Finance Committee and serves as an alternate on the TMA Global Board of Directors. He is the immediate past chair and a member of the Board of Directors of the TMA Philadelphia/Wilmington Chapter.

VanEtten spent over a decade with his previous firm, advising on complex bankruptcy cases, and has received TMA and Turnaround Atlas awards for his strategic contributions. He is the TMA Philadelphia / Wilmington Chapter treasurer and marketing chair for the TMA Mid-Atlantic Regional Symposium. VanEtten holds an MBA from Temple University’s Fox School of Business.
