Community Impact
Making a Meaningful Difference in the Communities We Serve
Since our inception in 1991, giving back to the community has been one of the primary pillars of service at SC&H. We believe living out this philosophy involves partnering with mission-driven organizations, contributing to meaningful change, elevating our communities, and creating a better life for all.
Community Impact Report
Striving to deliver high quality services to our valued clients and providing an outstanding environment for our team members to learn and grow is a constant at SC&H. But we also strongly believe in our ability to make a difference in the communities in which we live and serve. We are equally as passionate about giving back to the community as we are about delivering results to our clients.

We devote resources and human capital to foster development initiatives and support nonprofit organizations that contribute to the long-term vitality of the communities we serve. Our primary cause areas, selected by the passionate members of our team, are education, health, youth services, and human services.
Volunteering
Our most beloved volunteering opportunity is our annual Day of Service, a day dedicated to employees taking their work from their desks into the community and providing hands-on assistance to 6-8 organizations. In addition to our Day of Service, each employee donates on average more than 25 hours per year to area non-profit organizations and to community service activities.
Charitable Contributions
As a firm and as individuals, we invest in and support organizations that strive to deliver sustainable and measurable results for our communities. This includes charitable contributions, sponsorships with charitable organizations, and fund raising on behalf of our partnering nonprofits.
Nonprofit Board Service
SC&H team members serve on more than 60 regional nonprofit boards, paving the way for others in the community to get involved in giving back. A few notable boards we serve include the American Heart Association, Business Volunteers Maryland, The Arc Baltimore, Special Olympics Maryland, Junior Achievement of Central Maryland, the Maryland Zoo, Athletes Serving Athletes, Make A Wish Foundation of the Mid Atlantic, and The Y in Central Maryland.
