THE STORY
Supporting a Startup That Wants to Empower SMBs
WareSpace is a national company that reconfigures old-fashioned warehouses for small- and medium-sized businesses. Today, with 13 locations across North America, WareSpace is pioneering the warehouse coworking niche for SMBs. But in the beginning, they were a two-person startup with big goals, and they needed the right IT partner to help them grow.
As WareSpace searched for an outsourced IT company, they quickly learned most vendors proposed overly sophisticated systems and long-term contracts with a hefty price tag. What they really needed was a partner who could support them in their current beginning stage. Cue SC&H’s proposal:
“We needed corporate-level IT services like basic building infrastructure management, access control cameras, and Wi-Fi,” said Joseph Ely, WareSpace’s Founder and COO. “SC&H was responsive to us right away. They had a practical understanding of what we needed, which wasn’t extremely complicated, and they just got it.”
SC&H offered a customizable managed IT partnership, instead of selling them MSP services they didn’t need. This was exactly what they needed in the early seed stage – it fit their budget, solved their immediate tech needs, and we could scale it with them as they grew.
SC&H met WareSpace where they were and grew with them at their own pace.
As our partnership kicked off in 2021, we started by blending basic IT services, implementation, and onsite visits to learn how WareSpace used its technology. Then, we took a holistic IT management approach to help their team build a strong tech foundation that supported their growth goals.
An Adaptive Partner Who Will Scale Up
WareSpace’s goal was to open 30 facilities within their first three years and to be a category leader in the coworking and micro warehousing market. Once we put together their initial infrastructure package with this growth in mind, we were prepared to scale up with them.
As WareSpace expanded, our Managed IT services did too. We took the lead on designing, installing, implementing, and managing an IT program WareSpace could use across all of their facilities on a national scale. Additionally, we secured a call center partner and managed the relationship with them.

Traditional MSPs often want to push clients into one of their prebuilt service plans, but growing businesses like WareSpace have unique challenges that require individual solutions. Since each warehouse build can be quite different, the key to their business’s success has been staying aligned on their design, systems, and delivery.
