Dean Albanesi joined SC&H in June 2023, and is a highly accomplished professional with a wealth of experience and a passion for leadership and finance. At SC&H, Dean is responsible for creating and delivering strategic directives that tie financial results to sustainable processes that scale growth in a profitable manner.
He has an unwavering dedication to serving clients and delivering results which can be seen in all aspects of his work. Dean offers a wide range of expertise in organizational design, financial responsibilities, and integration efforts.
Dean previously served as a finance executive with Stanley Black & Decker, where he led a 200-member global controllership team for the company’s multibillion-dollar operation. In his role he was charged with providing leadership, financial controls, and effective partnership with business units to scale a standardized global controllership footprint with growth in profitability.
During his time at Stanley Black & Decker, Dean demonstrated exceptional skills in process improvement, controls, system implementations and profitability; while excelling in leadership roles energized him. He was heavily involved in M&A activities, leading integrations, and driving synergies during a period of hyper growth.
He earned his undergraduate degree at Merrimack College while playing four years of varsity lacrosse, before moving on to earn his MBA from Duquesne University, focusing on accounting.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dean actively contributes to various boards and foundations. He serves on the Church of the Nativity’s Finance Council, and recently began a three-year term on the University of Maryland St. Joseph’s Medical Center’s Foundation Board in July 2023.
He currently resides in Sparks, Md., with his wife, Bethanie, and he is the proud father of three children: Morgan, Ashley, and Jimmy. Outside of work, Dean loves golfing, cooking, and he is an avid sports fan—particularly hockey and the teams from his roots in Pittsburgh.
