Hank is a Principal with SC&H Capital, where he provides distressed and sell side merger and acquisitions (M&A) advisory services. With more than 20 years of experience, Hank has worked on over 100 engagements in a variety of industries including: manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, biofuel, mining, quick serve restaurant franchises, and pharmaceuticals.
His specialties include business analysis, marketing, complex deal structure, contract negotiations, creditor interfacing, 363 sale facilitation, Article 9 sales, DIP financing, court testimony, and joint venture partnerships. Hank has a unique view on transactions because he has personal and professional experience in sales and marketing, business ownership, and management. This combination of experience has contributed to his abilities to assess a company’s situation quickly and create a plan of action that effectively produces results to meet his client’s objectives.
Hank recognizes there are emotions on the table whether supporting a distressed or healthy M&A transaction. He is most passionate about his ability to structure and close transactions that maximize the value of a special situation’s engagement for all involved whether that be the creditors, the business in question, or the community he is working to make sure jobs are preserved.
Outside of the office, Hank and his wife support the Harford Family House that through housing, support, and resources, helps families and unaccompanied young adults who are experiencing homelessness transition into stable/permanent housing. He previously served on the board for five years and has been an honorary board member for over 10 years.
Hank received his bachelor’s from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He is an active member, author and speaker for the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), and an active member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA).
When Hank is not with the team or clients, he enjoys boating, golfing, skiing and traveling with family. He has been a guitar player, singer, song writer for over 50 years and you may catch him singing or playing solo guitar locally on a monthly basis. Being a former chef and restaurant owner, he maintains a passion for cooking and enjoys entertaining friends and family along with his wife. He lives with his wife and two children in Fallston, MD.
