Jim, an organizational psychologist, is the Chief Talent Officer of SC&H. He joined the firm in August 2021 as its first Chief Learning Officer. Jim’s mission is to help the organization and its employees reach their goals and aspirations, driving growth, engagement, and productivity.
Jim brings to his role extensive experience with talent development, and a passion for helping people reach their goals. He earned his undergraduate degree in psychology at Loyola University Maryland and attained his master’s degree and PhD in industrial-organizational psychology from Clemson University, focusing his studies on engagement at work and performance management.
Community involvement is a priority for Jim. He served six years on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Central Maryland, where he earned two awards for his exceptional leadership and service: the Frank Miller Spirit of Partnership Award in 2015 and the Citation for Exceptional Service in 2012.
As a former leader in university career services, Jim chaired and served as an active member of the Association of Jesuit Colleges & Universities Career Services Leaders. He has also earned the State of Maryland’s Governor’s Volunteer Service award and was recognized as a member of The Daily Record’s VIP list – Very Important Professionals Successful by 40.
Jim lives in Timonium, MD and enjoys spending weekend time outdoors around the firepit with family and friends. He is a pizza aficionado thanks to his childhood in Northern New Jersey and has spent many hours perfecting his homemade Sicilian style pie.
