As a Wealth Advisor on the SC&H Wealth team, Mark DeGroat has over a decade of experience in advising clients on financial planning. Mark works with both individuals and families to build comprehensive financial plans based on their specific goals.
His knowledge lies in advising clients on wealth planning – including risk management, portfolio construction, and retirement income planning. His clients rely on him as a resource to mitigate all the conflicting information out in the market place so they can manage their day to day lives.
The thing that Mark appreciates most as a Senior Financial Advisor – the people. There is a long-term relationship that he builds with his clients. When he helps them develop a plan for their financial journey and they succeed, so does he. That kind of accomplishment makes for a very rewarding experience.
Mark received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Towson University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner, a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA), and a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®). Marks also holds his Series 65 license as a registered investment adviser representative.
In the community, you will find Mark volunteering with Pathfinders for Autism and the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore.
When he isn’t working Mark spends time with his wife Megan, son Gavin, and daughter Brynn. An avid sports fan, depending on the season he can usually be found coaching his kids in soccer, basketball, or lacrosse.
