Robin Patalon, Director on the SC&H Wealth team, has been with the firm since 1999. She both performs and oversees SC&H Financial Advisors’ financial planning for individuals and families to address their inter-related retirement, estate, insurance, education, and investment needs. Robin supervises highly complex individual and family income tax returns.
Robin’s experience in public accounting, private industry, and income tax gives her a unique understanding and perspective of her clients’ financial picture. Her tax experience includes stock option planning and analysis, charitable gifting strategies, and tax-saving investment methods. Robin also has primary oversight of the investment activities of all licensed advisors in SC&H Financial Advisors, Inc.
Before joining SC&H, Robin worked for a large public company, where she gained significant knowledge in corporate accounting, financial planning and analysis, and corporate tax. She holds licenses as a CPA, Investment Advisor Representative (Series 65), and in Maryland Life and Health Insurance. Robin is also a CFP® professional.
Robin earned her B.A. in Spanish with highest honors from the State University of New York at Albany, and her M.B.A. from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), where she serves on the Personal Financial Planning Committee.
An active volunteer, Robin has worked with Girls on the Run, a non-profit organization that integrates running with an experience-based curriculum to inspire girls and teens to lead a healthy and confident life. She is active with Kennedy Krieger’s Planned Giving Council.
Outside of the office, Robin can be found training for her next race, instructing yoga classes, or playing the piano.
