Medical Physics, an investment holding company, provides diagnostic and therapeutic medical physics services through three separate companies – Ohio Medical Physics Consulting, National Physics Consultants, and Radiological Physics. The Company also provides medical physics compliance software solutions through its proprietary product, ZapIT! QA. Led by Sean Hoyt and Bryon Murray, the Company provides the full range of diagnostic medical physics and radiation oncology services across the country with a focus on the Midwest United States.
SC&H Capital worked closely with the Medical Physics’ management team to properly position the Company to potential buyers, providing key strategic guidance based on SC&H’s deep experience working with companies in the medical physics industry. This enabled an efficient process focused on the most likely potential strategic and private equity buyers.
SC&H Capital delivered multiple competitive bids from several parties, which created significant negotiating leverage and optimized both the timing of the sale process and the valuation. Ultimately, the Company partnered with Apex Physics Partners, a portfolio company of Blue Sea Capital.
This transaction marks the 5th successful engagement in the Medical Physics industry for SC&H Capital.
